Timbre Tones Audio
Welcome to my workshop in NE Florida, where I build hand-turned tractrix mid-bass horns. Each horn begins with rough cut lumber that is segmented into rings and shaped on a lathe into a perfectly smooth continuous curve. This round uninterrupted geometry isn’t just beautiful-it’s acoustically superior. Unlike horns made with flat panels and sharp angles, a true circular tractrix profile minimizes internal reflections, eliminates diffraction at corners, and preserves a uniform wavefront as sound expands outward. The result is a cleaner transient response, lower coloration, and a more natural effortless presentation in the critical mid-bass region. These horns are crafted to let music breathe-exact, organic and uncompromised.
